Pilot Officer McDonald was one of two Canadian airmen killed in the crash of their Cessna Crane (#7944) aircraft; they had been on a training flight and were engaged in dual instruction on instruments. Corporal Joseph Arsene Adelard LANGEVIN also perished in this aircraft accident.
